Noisms is a historian/lawyer. Zero_zero_one is a mathematician. This is a place for propounding politics, history, maths, law, literature, film, poetry and the meaning of life. Unfortunately, there will be no titties. Comments are welcome. Rip our ill-formed opinions to shreds.

The first trailer I saw for Cloverfield was when I went to see the clusterfuck that was Transformers. It was unusual; it simply started, without the usual MPAA ratings screen, and looked as if it were all being filmed from someone's hand-held camera at some party. And then things start falling from the sky and Hell breaks loose, essentially. And then it just ended, without showing the title to the film, just the date.
That's what I saw, but it wasn't shown in front of films in the UK as far as I know.
The release date is 1st of February here. I'm just hoping that it lives up to the hype. It certainly has a good concept - just have to hope that the execution of that concept is well done...
